Please read the below steps to understand the requirements to participate in the Tenshug. Once you have understood the requirements to participate in the Tenshug, please fill out the online form linked at the bottom of this page.

  1. Become an official Tenshug participant

As a religious ritual, you are making a vow to fulfil and advance the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. You must be sincere in this commitment. You can confirm your participation in this inaugural global Youth Tenshug by completing the registration form on the bottom of this page.

The form will ensure that you are recorded in the official report presented to His Holiness and will also be used to assist with organization and planning.

The form will invite you to submit a personal pledge that aligns with one of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s four principal commitments. This pledge should be taken with consideration and sincerity as this is a promise to both yourself and to His Holiness.

The Four commitments are:

  1. The promotion and cultivation of secular ethics and universal values
  2. Religious harmony
  3. Preservation of Tibet’s language and culture
  4. Revival of ancient Indian knowledge related to the mind and emotions.
